Hotels in Southern Oaks, Bakersfield from CA $79

The best time to go to Southern Oaks is during the spring (April to June) and autumn (September to November) months.

During these periods, the weather is pleasantly warm and sunny, with average temperatures ranging from 20°C to 28°C. This makes it ideal for outdoor activities like exploring the vineyards, hiking in the Oak Creek Canyon trails, or enjoying the local markets without the intense heat of summer. You'll also find fewer crowds compared to the peak summer season, making for a more relaxed experience.

Couples looking for a romantic getaway will particularly appreciate the spring and autumn. The vineyards are either blooming with new growth or displaying rich autumnal colours, offering stunning backdrops for wine tasting tours and leisurely strolls. Many wineries also host special events during these seasons, such as harvest festivals or outdoor concerts, adding to the appeal.

For those interested in culinary experiences, autumn is especially rewarding. This is when the local produce is at its peak, and many farm-to-table restaurants in areas like the historic Old Town district, particularly around Main Street, feature seasonal menus that highlight the region's bounty.
